Intern With Us
Students are powerful advocates for themselves and their peers. Our interns are critical in amplifying and sharing student voices when it comes to college affordability and navigating the complex college journey. Moneythink is expanding on our core mission by providing paid internship opportunities for high school and college students. We also provide our interns with letters of recommendation and references.
Here are some ways you can intern with us.

(Positions for High School Students)
This is an ideal role for reliable and enthusiastic high school students. Our ambassadors work with us for 12 weeks for three hours per week and are paid a stipend of $550 at the end of the quarter. We have space for four ambassadors per 12 week cycle and we offer opportunities for two cycles a year (the first cycle is September – December and the second is February – May). Our student ambassador program may require in-person activities.
Responsibilities:
- Running events and in-person campaigns (plan and execute two to three events)
- Accompany and support high school advisors for college application and financing presentations at beginning of academic year
- Host a booth/table to promote DecidED to juniors and seniors during lunch periods
- Organize in person or online office hours to for peers to learn more about DecidED
- Design or create your own event
- Creating storytelling and marketing assets (e.g. blog posts, videos, social media posts)
- Write a blog piece about your own college journey and experience
Skills and Abilities:
- Comfortability being on camera and serving in a “spokesperson” role
- Passion to help more students at their schools learn about college affordability and college choices

(Positions for College Students)
This is an ideal role for reliable and enthusiastic college juniors or seniors interested in exploring careers in marketing, technology, design, and/or nonprofit management. This is a one year commitment. We pay $15 per hour and ask students to commit to 2-3 hours per week. Our internships are fully remote. The next available cycle runs May 2022 – May 2023.
Responsibilities:
- Three social media posts per week
- Partnerships support with conference presentations and materials
- Marketing support with asset creation and storytelling materials
- Provide product and program feedback and willingness to propose adjustments to product features and marketing
Skills & Abilities:
- Desire to build leadership, public speaking, organization, and collaboration skills
- Passion to help more students at their schools learn about college affordability and choice
- The ability to gather feedback and provide insight
- Excellent communication and writing skills (video or graphic skills is a plus)
- Comfortable using and creating content on various social media platforms, namely Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook
- Highly motivated and tech-savvy
